Sleigh Your Holiday, Starting with This Festive 5K, 1K, and Tot Trot

Make the season bright with this festive holiday event! The 18th Annual Sleighbells on the Square 5k/1k/Tot Trot comes back to town this Saturday, December 8th. This family-friendly event takes place on the Marietta Square, where the 5k will start and finish. Bundle up and come cheer on neighbors and friends this weekend!

Race day activities include appearances by costumed characters, face-painting for the kids and jingle bells for runners’ shoes. The Strand Theatre will open its doors to runners, friends and family for a quick warm-up, coffee, hot chocolate and a free movie for the kids.

Sleighbells on the Square is sponsored by the Cobb County Bar Association and helps raise money for the Children's Emergency Fund. The Children's Emergency Fund assists Cobb County School District and Marietta City Schools students and their families with emergency financial needs.

The 5k starts at 8:30 a.m., the 1k at 9:30 a.m., Tot Trot at 9:45 a.m. and the awards ceremony is at 9:50 a.m. The 5k is a chip-timed Peachtree Qualifying race.
