The music of Nile Rodgers witnessed a meteoric rise in the 70s with early collaborations with Luther Vandross and Ashford & Simpson. From there a string of successes with his group Chic included the hits “Le Freak," "I Want Your Love," "Everybody Dance," "Dance, Dance, Dance," and "Good Times.” Rodgers’ magic production touch blessed Diana Ross yielding the hits "Upside Down" and "I'm Coming Out." The timeless nature of his sound also runs from Duran Duran to Daft Punk and even Christina Aguilera.
Music director Khari Simmons, who has played and toured with the likes of Sade, India.Arie, Incognito and others, has assembled some of Atlanta's best musicians and vocalists to honor the music of the legendary Nile Rodgers. Watch as The Old 4th Ward Disco Boogie Band plays the top hits from his catalog including the best of Chic, Diana Ross, Sister Sledge, David Bowie, Madonna, George Michael and more.
